See Girl Work Interactive and Creative Workshops

As an online content resource for female small business owners, entrepreneurs, and marketers, we want to help as many women as we can.

Costly budgets and time constraints of a freelancer marketer, web developer, and front-end designer can sometimes be a little taxing on entrepreneurs who are just starting out in their businesses.

Even though there are online resources, tools, and platforms, it can become overwhelming to get a grasp of all the facets of setting up our businesses in a digital world.

As an online content resource for female small business owners, entrepreneurs, and marketers, we want to help as many women as we can.

We not only want to provide the knowledge and tools necessary to be successful, but we also want our readers and clients to feel empowered and confident in every aspect of their business.

That’s why I’ve put together a series of interactive workshops for beginner-level entrepreneurs and side-hustlers looking to learn the basics of setting up their business online.

The first few workshops will focus on setting up our websites and blogs on WordPress.

WordPress.org is the gold standard in content management systems (CMS). It’s used by more than 74 million sites that publish new posts every second. This widely used CMS has become a favourite among businesses because of how powerful of a tool it is.

But sometimes, WordPress can be a little intimidating when it comes to set up and customization.

In our 4-hour interactive and creative workshop for beginners, we’ll learn how to set up a simple WordPress website including installing a theme, creating navigation menus, publishing pages, publishing blog posts, and integrating social media feeds.

We’ll also explore plugins and how they help to optimize your website for a better user experience.

You don’t even need to have your website and content ready. We’ll provide text and images that you can use and practise with. As long as you plan on creating a small website for your entreprenuerial venture in the next few months, this will be a great workshop to attend to learn the basics of setting yourself up online.

We love connecting with other female founders so we want this time to be fun, insightful and we want you to leave — not only with of a solid foundation of your website or blog in hand — but feeling strong about your business.

Each workshop will be kept small and intimate so that we can all connect and learn with each other. There’s a maximum of five spots at each workshop.

We’ll be in a nice, comfortable space in downtown, Toronto with plenty of free WiFi. We’ll also provide some yummy snacks and drinks.

I’m so excited about facilitating these workshops. I hope you can make it. RSVP now before all the spots are filled up.

Can’t wait to meet you!
